This is my personal site, somewhere for me to show the world what I have previously designed and made but also a place that I use to show pictures I have taken in the Gallery section.

I currently work full time as the Head of Product Design for BlueMT .

This involves managing a team of anywhere up to ten designers and knowing what they are doing, where they are with their current projects and most importantly giving design, ease of use and functionality direction along the way so that we achieve the best designs possible from start to end.

This naturally means my role also involves - Project specification approvals, Project planning, budget planning and accountability as well as design approvals all along the way prior to release to our clients.

At the same time I will often also be working on some design projects when possible, as well as ensuring all the designs get released 100% ready for both client approval as well as ready for final prototyping and manufacture at their relevant stages, whilst working closely with the clients by releasing regular design updates and ensuring the designs match their specifications and visions.

I work closely with all the other members of the BlueMT team in the UK, Poland & China, especially for multi discipline projects (such as where Electronics are involved) and for when any of our design projects go into production.

Our tool of choice is Solidworks 2011 as well as still producing hand drawn concepts, with prototyping being an essential part in every project.

I am also a Certified Solidworks Professional, having passed with a 100% pass mark.

In the past I have also been known to design & make furniture, but alas no more as I no longer have a workshop (and have a full time job!), but if you like something send me an email anyway.

And in another guise, I have also been known as a bit of a web designer, mainly working for small companies, developing their early stage websites so they get a web presence. Some examples are found here: webdesign. These days it is just this site though, which is hand coded using php and the open source gallery software for the main galler but hand customised.
